More nonsense brought to you by Alex

Okay, so I have just realized blogging is FUN. Oh man, what if I become some weirdo emo blogger that blogs 32564523764 times a night and talks about their life to pedobears over the internet!? o____o

Anyways, I forgot to put in my last blog a link to my amateur photography album on Photobucket. So I decided to make a totally new post instead of editing it. I'll put it after this nifty little paragraph. Sound good? Yeah, whoever reads this should check it out. Which is like nobody. Shut up, miss pessimist. <-- Props to spellcheck cause I cant spell, woo!

Nonsense brought to you by Alex

So this is my first blog I've made in our APblog. Pretty sad, yeah. This is also my first blog, I guess. Happy Patricia? Im FINALLY posting a blog on this darn thing. :)

So anyways, summer vacation has started and now I can stay up as late as I want. What have I been doing on these late nights, you may ask? I've been pressing play on my "Asdfghjkl;" playlist on iTunes and attempting to get in touch with my poetic side... yet again. I say "yet again" because I used to be pretty into poetry- as amateur as I was and still am.

I came across one of my old poems earlier;

Alcohol
We turn to it in times of need
It cleans our cuts when we bleed

We turn to it to find truth;
the perfect weapon for a sleuth

Yeah, not much deep meaning there. I had some pretty good ones, I just cant seem to find them. But I will! Maybe they will provide inspiration for a newer and better poem.

Here's a taste of my current works;

Surreal Ideals
'Til now I had perceived something
nonexistent as a feeling still lingering.

Oh, how I've begged truth to sing
its soothing melody
that I believed would in turn elicit
a beautiful love.

So the canary sang
penetrating every melodious note
and awareness of my fault
flooded my abstract thoughts.

Perhaps my misconception
flourished from a surreal ideal.
An ideal that should soon be abandoned
in the furthermost shadows of my mind.

As you can probably tell, I've ditched the usual rhyme for free verse. I don't know about you, but I feel like I've improved greatly. Well, you haven't seen enough of my old or new writings to be able to judge so just take my word for it. ;]

I hope you've enjoyed my first blog- which happens to be pretty long. I apologize for that.
There's probably nobody that reads this nonsense anyways, what are you worried about Alex?
